You should be asking not just how you can get the most visitors to your business, but how you can get the right visitors. You should take a brief chat about ,who are your ideal customers ? , What are their goals ?, What are their biggest problem ?, How does your business solve their problems ?. To find these information, there are some ways to conduct user research are interviewing your users, conducting focus groups, researching other businesses in the same industry, surveying your audience. It should include age,job, income, identifiers,goals, challenges, Activities or hobbies.

Research your target market

 It is important to know precisely who are selling to in order to market to them. Knowing your target market and their needs allows you to determine where you should advertise and how you should advertise. If you don’t intimately know your target market, you can not effectively communicate how your product and services meet their needs.

For this process you may want to consult with trade group or institution that conduct their own research and analysis of markets and industry trends. You should also research your competition.  Next on the marketing plan checklist, you have to analyse the Competitor research sections. This section will help you identify who your competitors are, what they are doing and how you could carve yourself a place alongside them in your niche and ideally surpass them. This process should include who their marketing team is, Who their leadership team is, what their marketing strategy is , what their sales strategy is, how their social media strategy is, their market cap, how their early growth was, the number of customers they have and their user personas.

You should also take as deep a dive as you can into the strategies they use across their , blog or content marketing, social media marketing,SEO marketing, video marketing and any other marketing tactics they use.

Research their strengths and weakness in  all parts of their company, and you will find some great opportunities.

Research your strengths and weaknesses through sending surveys through the mail

 If you have a broad and dedicated client base, you may want to consider sending out surveys. This will allow you to poll your customers on your strengths and your weakness. You can then build your marketing plan around your strengths and know what assets of your business to really emphasize and you can also make efforts to work on what others perceive as your business’s weaknesses. If you have your customer’s email address, you may want to ask them the same question as you would in a mailed survey.However, the risk with the email surveys is that they might be relegated to the customer’s spam folder.
